Trout Lake
The trail crosses Forest Road 23 about 13 miles north of town and hikers can get a hitch from the first one or two cars passing by. Our compact little town has a Post Office (98650) for General Delivery drop boxes; a general store with an exchange box behind the counter, internet access, laundry facilities, and a couple of cozy rooms at hiker rates. Kelly's Bed n' Breakfast and The Trout Lake Motel are both popular spots for those who are seeking overnight facilities. KJ's Bear Creek Cafe has hamburgers and huckleberry shakes to die for! Time Out Pizza south of town has other good eats. Mt. Adams Ranger Station is 1/4 mile west of the Post Office.
