• The ranch cannot usually accept walk in customers. Frequently, the entire ranch is leased out for weeks at a time to private groups who do not know anything about the PCT or thru-hikers.
  

• The hot springs are on the other side of the San Joaquin River. It is very dangerous to cross this river and reported not worth the effort.
