Mt Laguna can be got to through the Burnt Rancheria Campground. After exiting the campground, turn right at the highway. Or the town can got to from the Observatory Road (not the proper name). Turn left at this road then turn left at the highway.

When we speak of Mt. Laguna the town, it's really just a store at Mt. Laguna Lodge. Hikers here are concerned mostly with the store at the lodge, and perhaps the lodging if they're in need of a bed.
