Welcome to the community wiki for the Pacific Crest Trail! This project is an interconnected community effort to explore, discuss and compile anything and everything about the PCT — especially the little, enjoyable things. This entire site is maintained by the people who use it: anyone can edit this website!
Class of 2006 stops in Sierra City for some birthday parties.
Our magical trail passes by many fine towns. From Julian to Stehekin, hikers take leave of the trail, feasting, sleeping, buying food. Pick up that Edit button, and add some info about your favorite rest stop. Add your favorite milk shake, the best spring mattress or the stealthiest way to hitch in to town.

2007-2-23 Founding day of PCT Wiki! I'm sitting here on my couch, when I should be outside! For the record, the wiki was created with a bag of chips, a veggie burger, some organic chocolate, a white couch and a white laptop in St. George, Utah.

First, check out the Wiki Guide — this is a good place to start!
A Wiki is a linked set of pages that anybody can edit and contribute to without knowing anything about websites. Davis Wiki is the prime example of a successful wiki project, and the seed of much of this site. Also, check out Why Wiki Works for some information on the philosophy of wiki.
Feel free to make new pages — just remember to link them. Also, if you don't know where to start or don't have any ideas, check out To Do.
